If you are running an OEM Type-R Wing or Aftermarket Wing, your trunk may be too heavy for the stock springs to lift it. These units also allow the trunk to remain up and stable even under high wind conditions and were thoroughly tested for repeated use. Stainless steel w/ lightweight alloy shaft and casing with hydraulic oil seals end links and mounting points for durability and heat resistance. Black coating helps prevents scuffs, and resistance to weather.
